William McDowell is a pastor, worship leader, songwriter, and teacher whose life is anchored in a deep love for the Word of God, the presence of God, and people.
The driving passions of his life and ministry are seeing people grow in their relationship with God and experience His presence in a way that transforms their everyday lives. As the Lead Pastor of Deeper Fellowship Church in Orlando, Florida, William passionately pursues the church’s mission to cultivate a deeper fellowship with God and with one another.
At the heart of William’s ministry is his family. He is the husband of LaTae McDowell and the father of five children—Joshua, Olivia, Caleb, Joy, and Judah. For William, ministering to his family is one of his greatest privileges and a foundational part of how he understands his calling.
A gifted teacher and world-renowned worship leader, William has ministered in nearly 50 nations around the world. His music has become a part of the worship life of churches and communities across generations, with songs that call people toward surrender, devotion, and an awareness of God’s presence.
Yet, for William, ministry has never been about a platform. He believes that, apart from ministering to his family, one of the greatest privileges in ministry is serving the local church. Whether preaching the Word, leading worship, writing songs, praying with people, or simply walking alongside those God has entrusted to him, his desire is to help people know God more deeply and live from the reality of His presence.
Everything William does ultimately flows from the same pursuit: to know God, to make Him known, and to see people transformed by His presence.
